Rise in Cases of Heart Complications after the Second dose of COVID-19

Several rare cases of Heart Complications among the young individuals just following the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine does garner medical attention. Medical experts such as Dr. Scott Gottlieb hinted at further assessment in the new development for more clarity.

However, as per the Food and Drug Administration commissioner, the cases of such conditions have mostly been mild.

It should not raise concern among the people regarding the signing up for the two shots of vaccine from companies like Pfizer and Moderna.

Gottlieb stated in an interview that at this point in time, the risk and benefit of the vaccine are still in favor of this age group of young people. Further, he added that two shots of the vaccine are approved by the CDC and FDA.

As per the trusted sources of information, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention stated that there had been a higher number of young people suffering from Heart inflammation in the previous day, among the people from the age group of 16 to 24, after the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The organization recorded around 275 cases, as compared to the expectations to be around 10 to 102.

According to the latest CDC data, of all the 270 individuals diagnosed with certain Heart conditions as post-vaccine symptoms, 81% have reportedly been completely recovered.

The remaining 19% of individuals are still likely to demonstrate symptoms that are still unknown. Some of the commonly occurring symptoms comprise shortness of breath and pain in the chest.
