In 2014, Forbes ranked Holmes one of the wealthiest women in America, and the former CEO’s professional and personal fortunes seemed to be on the increase.Until the Wall Street Journal started looking into the startup, which was once valued at $9 billion.
The eight-episode series is based on a podcast of the same name, and executive producer Liz Meriwether of “New Girl” will contribute her creative acumen. Along with Laurie Metcalf, Sam Waterston, and others, William H. Macy is expected to star in the series. Hulu will premiere “The Dropout” on March 3rd. Adam McKay is returning with Jennifer Lawrence, who played Holmes in the “Hunger Games,” for an Apple TV+ film themed on Holmes’ deception. The film will also tell the storey of the trial that followed Holmes’ international plot.
