The U.S. Still Vulnerable to Covid-19 Pandemic

The 155 million people of the total U.S. population, which is a huge number and exceeds Russia’s entire population, have not yet got even the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. This population is susceptible to getting sick, may get severely infected, or even die of Covid-19.

The U.S. states have moderated the rules and are allowing people to enter bars and restaurants. Most importantly, some states lawmakers are in the mood of lifting masks rules for air and rail travel.

But according to several health experts, the U.S. is far from winning the battle against Covid-19. The pandemic has to date, killed over 600,000 Americans. This death count sums up the total population of the U.S. city Milwaukee.

The U.S. health experts say, though the country has rolled three vaccines and the fourth one is on the way, the country is yet to reach the vaccination levels that would make the immunity of the citizens strong.

According to the experts, only when the country achieves the so-called herd immunity, the people will become immune to the virus. With the optimum levels of immunity, people with lower immunity can be protected from getting infected.

Even in the past week, the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention of the U.S. has recorded an average of 11,400 cases. The number was lower than the new records in the last month. Most importantly, some states such as Arkansas and Missouri see a rise in infections.
